Should I upload school reports or old psychology letters?

Old school reports, psychology letters or GP summaries can sometimes add useful context to a screening report. They may show whether patterns were present earlier in life, whether similar concerns have been raised before, or whether other explanations have already been considered.

For adult ADHD assessment, clinicians often ask about whether symptoms were present in childhood. School reports can sometimes provide examples of attention, organisation, impulsivity, effort, behaviour, learning or social functioning. They are not required for every screening report, but they can be helpful when available.

• Previous ADHD, autism or learning assessments
• Psychology, psychiatry or counselling letters
• GP summaries, mental health care plans or discharge summaries
• Occupational therapy, speech pathology or NDIS-related reports

Only upload documents you are comfortable sharing for the purpose of generating your screening report. Avoid uploading unrelated documents, highly sensitive third-party information, or anything you do not want attached to the report.

Uploaded documents are supporting context. They do not turn a screening report into a diagnosis, clinician assessment or formal capacity report.
